The intention in creating and maintaining this site is to share information about the ancestors and descendents of my parents Bronson Blake Baker and Jean Elizabeth Greer and a few writings (memoirs, essays and poems) of my own to share with family and friends.
This is a work in progress.
At this point, only the GREER-HOLMBERG family document in posted. It is found under the Family tab. The Greer side (from my grandfather John Houser Greer 1880-1960) has origins in Colonial America--from Pennsylvania and the Carolinas to East Tennesse; thence to Kansas, Colorado, and eventually to California. The Holmberg family immigrated to Minneapolis MN from Sweden in the 1870's. Greer-Holmberg family names:
Bogren, Caudy, Crumley, Dieter, Dunn, Findley, Grant, Gustafson, Hancher, Hauser, Henshaw, Holmberg, Houser, Hutchinson, Knicely, Kron, Lundberg, Minnich, Moree, Parker, Reinhardt, Teeter, Tournai, Turney, von Hauser, and Waites.
Of the BAKER ancestors, most are associated with earliest New England (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire). Baker family ancestral names:
Alden, Banester, Bellingham, Bishop, Bliss, Browne, Buckingham, Chapman, Clarke,
Dee, deCheney, Denison, Fenner, Hosmer, Grinnell, Griswold, Jordan, Keating, Kirtland,
